Our clinic now has a shared obstetrical group. Maternity patients will see their family doctor until 20 weeks gestation. They will then see the obstetrical doctor on call that week for their maternity visit. For the remainder of their pregnancy including delivery, patients will receive obstetrical care from the doctor that is scheduled to be on call that week. Following delivery, patients will have their 1 week and 6 weeks follow-up with the delivering doctor and then will resume seeing their family doctor after that is complete.
